RUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, remember the plumber that Barack Obama ran into Sunday in Toledo?  He was campaigning door-to-door, and he ran into a local plumber, Joe Wurzelbacher, and Wurzelbacher said this to Obama.  He said, "Your new tax plan's going to tax me more, isn't it?"

OBAMA:  It's not that I want to punish your success.  I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance at success, too.  I think when we spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody.

RUSH:  And there it would have ended and in fact we may never have heard of this if left to the mainstream media. If left to the Drive-By Media, we probably would not know that this exchange had happened.  However, with the advent of New Media and so forth, Neil Cavuto over at Fox got the plumber on his program yesterday afternoon.  The plumber again from Toledo, Joe Wurzelbacher, and Cavuto said, "Joe, did Obama win you over?"

WURZELBACHER:  No, the answer actually scared me even more.

CAVUTO:  How so?

WURZELBACHER:  He said he wants to distribute wealth, and I mean that's kind of a socialist viewpoint. It's not the government to decide that I make a little too much and so I need to share it with other people.  That's not the American dream.

Obama the Socialist

This makes me sick to my stomache. The libs and Obama have started mocking and attacking Joe the plumber.

He's a citizen he has to right to ask a candidate a question without having to be scrutinized and mocked as if he was running against Obama. Looks like now Obama is running against Joe the Plumber. How disgraceful for a candidate.

Biden mocks Joe on Leno. This is outrageous. Just answer the question and worry about that. Don't worry about trying to discredit a man for asking a simple question. It was Obama's answer that's got him into trouble not Joe. When Obama said, "Spread the wealth around". That's what got him. Obama should attack Obama for saying the wrong thing.

Nobody is going to dare speak up anymore. You ask the right question and you get harassed by politicians and have your home surrounded by newsmen the next day. Why don't they chase down Ayers and ask him some questions?

Joe talks back!

Funny thing to, Joe was actually just throwing his football around with his son when Obama was out in the neighborhood campaigning. To hear some libs Joe was a secret covert plant by the McCain camp.

They're attacking Joe because he doesn't agree with the media's choice candidate. That's one of the things that's most disappointing about America. Give the right answer to a question, and the media will hammer you to death because they didn't like what you said.

Biden didn't mock anyone. You're grasping at straws worse than the McCain camp has been doing.

Name the libs who say this.

They didn't attack him either.

the media will hammer you to death

and this didn't happen either.

Joe has publicly said on the Huckabee show they are looking into his tax returns for crying out loud. Give the man a break. He asked a question. Answer it and go on Obama and liberal media types.
