Well here's one thing for you to consider, each presidential term brings forth it's own challenges, and I would dare say Bush has faced some very unique ones like 911

Absolutely. But I don't think he'll be mentioned in the rarefied air with the likes of Lincoln or FDR.

Who is to say how another President would have fared.

I can't and haven't, but he is failing. I judge him on what's he's done without comparison.

Bush doesn't seem to be one to toot his own horn which is a mistake politically.

Um, I disagree, but that's far from the point.

One thing that gets on my nerves with the Clintons is that they revel in their dealings. They flaunt their indescretions like they are too good to get caught. Bush comes across as a good old boy sometimes, and Bill comes across as that ass hole with the camaro mommie and daddie bought him in high school. The prep with all the money, and the fast talk.

Now maybe Bush had it made growing up, but it doesn't come across in his personality.

Now really Tim, if that is your reason for hating Bill Clinton, it is because you need to change the channel from Limbaugh. You don't know anything about the guy.

Clinton grew up on the line between lower middle class and poor. His father had died shortly before he was born, and he had to threaten his drunk of a strepfather from hitting his mother when he was in high school to make the abuse stop. He was a band nerd. He worked and struggled to get scholarship after scholarship to get into college. Once he got there, he kept doing well to become a Rhodes scholar.

Maybe you're not aware of how difficult it is to break through the Washington establishment- but let me assure you, plenty of people look down on smart southern guys who grew up without any money. At no time did Clinton have it easy.

I don't think personality should be the final straw in how a person votes. Such is usually just a person's excuse when they haven't done their homework and researched either candidate's policies. But if you dislike guys who never had to work for anything, and became "cool" off their family name, then you shouldn't have voted for W twice. If you think he acts so noble now, take a second look at what he's done for his socio-economic class vs ours. He's the same a-hole he was in high school.

You know, this turned out to be not so interesting after all.

I just think watching Clinton over the years, he's obviously very sneaky and conniving, and I think a leader should be up front and lead like Reagan did. If national security is involved of course I wouldn't want that blabbed out to everybody. So a little sneakiness there is ok.
