But the backdrops peel and the sets give way and the cast get eaten by the play, there's a murderer at the matinee, there are dead men in the aisles
And the patrons and the actors too are uncertain if the show is through and with sidelong looks await their cue, but the frozen mask just smiles

That's the way of liberalism, taxes, taxes, and more taxes. I guess I'll never drive to California or New York. People will start trying to deal with accidents without cops. __________________

I can't think of a single liberal that would support this. The tea party wingnuts that think privatizing everything is an actual solution on the other hand, that's another story. __________________

To me this sounds exactly like a liberal tax policy. I'm all about no taxes except for the smallest amount possible that the government needs to provide the basic services that have been around since the 50's. Police services is one that has been around forever and has always been understood as free at the time of necessity. Of course it costs in regular taxes, but that's to be expected. __________________

I understand the necessity part. It is in no way free though.
I'm still waiting to hear of at least one person who supports this specifically because they or it are liberal, if you have one. We can both agree this is bad, and I know you equate liberalism with bad for the most part as well; that does not automatically equate this bad thing with liberalism. __________________

Well you might have a lot of liberals against this, but I guess I'm basically saying whether liberals know it or not this is in spirit the same thing as most of the other tax policies they shove down our throats.
Take death taxes where after already being taxed once when they made the money, the money gets taxed again before it gets to the heirs. A lot of libs love that idea I'm sure. __________________

If liberals would be against it, and wouldn't recognize it as liberal policy then no, it is not 'in spirit' the same thing just because you dislike both.
Personally, when my mom passed, she had left me a fund for about 60k, more than half of which got taken in taxes. Nobody in their right mind could possibly be for this, whatever their labels or preferences. __________________

Sorry, you have had this happen to you on top of your loss. I really do believe though that increased taxes of any kind is normally in step with liberal agendas and goes along with their desire to take power out of the hand of the individual and put it into the hands of big government. What better way to take your power, than to take your money? __________________
