Any opinions on Pat Roberson's Haiti remarks? Does he have the right to say it was a deal with the devil that caused an earthquake?

While not saying that myself I think it's obvious the media is using this only because they hate the guy's right wing politics. They don't give a hoot about what he actually said. Heck, they sure didn't mention the fact he said his organization was sending in help and support to that country. I smell hypocrisy from the left and false righteous indignation.

If there was a god, Pat wouldn't still be allowed on TV to supposedly speak for him.

There are literally dozens of these, but I think those cover the case fairly well.

The Saddest part of it all is, Haiti is actually a very christian very devout society.  But because there is a tragedy, Mr. Robertson needs to find a reason to blame the people themselves (since obviously God would never visit tragedy on the Righteous, though Job would certainly disagree).

Mr. Robertson's Theosophy is so childish as to be an embarassment to other christians.

There is always a big call for moderate clerics to condemn radical clerics in the islamic faith.  I think it's time we hold christian clerics to the same standard.

Either you stand with Evil hatefilled men like Robertson, or you stand against them.

Matches and I agree for the first known time.

Pat Robertson only exists because God allows free will. I am quite certain some 700 club members won't show up for a couple tapings because they're afraid of lightning bolts in the studio, LOL!

A pact with the devil to drive the French off their island? PLEASE! I did hear that on FOX, and I'm pretty sure Bill O'Reilly labeled him a 'pinhead', well deserved! And anyone can tell you what Jay Leno said,
"You don't need a pact with the devil to defeat the French!"

Meanwhile, pray for the people of Haiti, as well as Presidents Clinton and Bush, who are now in charge of raising relief money.
And if you don't live in Haiti or know anyone who does, Give Thanks.
